York 22-23 June 2019

After the success of Bloom! 2018, Bloom! has been asked to deliver a series of legacy events and projects including another larger scale festival which will be taking place in June 2020. The festival itself thus, has become a bi-annual event, with smaller activities taking place in the year between.

For 2019, Bloom! is supporting the creation of three new gardens for York and is hosting a two day mini-festival on June 22nd /23rd, at the Dean’s Park Gardens next to York Minster. This weekend-long event will consist of a flower and produce show on the Saturday and a Plant and Flower market on the Sunday. Alongside this, there will be music, entertainment, family workshops and demonstrations throughout the weekend.

For more information on the Flower & Produce show and for trade applications for the Sunday market, visit the website:

For 2020, the theme of Art in Nature will run through the festival and we are currently looking for people to get involved. Plans already in the pipeline include a sculpture trail around the city’s hidden gardens and a series of exhibitions inside and out. We are also looking at creating a series of 2m x 2m pop-up gardens in Parliament Street, each of which will be planned and created by businesses from in and around York.
