We research and record locally significant historic designed landscapes in Yorkshire that are not on Historic England’s Register.

We give advice on planning and other conservation issues relating to Yorkshire’s historic designed landscapes.

Talk to be given by Dr Jemima Hubberstey ‘Unearthing Gardens in the Archive’

This talk will examine women's engagement with garden design and landscape aesthetics in the eighteenth century, focusing on the letters written by the women of the ‘Wrest Circle’ – a literary circle that centred on Jemima Marchioness Grey (née Campbell) (1722-1797) at her ancestral home of Wrest Park in Bedfordshire.

New Research and Recording report on Esholt Hall park and gardens

Esholt Hall was built by Sir Walter Calverley in 1706-9 and he laid out gardens and pleasure grounds around it including a walled garden, bowling green, ponds, plantations and walks.
